2020 Convention Information
We know some are already wondering about our Convention in Puerto Rico. November is several months away and much can/will change in the intervening time. Rest assured, we are keeping a close eye on the situation in Puerto Rico, as well as here at home. The Convention Planning Committee (Bill Black, President-Elect, and Yanira Oliveras-Ortiz, Rosa Rivera-McCutchen, and James Wright) continues to develop a face-to-face program that will be truly outstanding and in the hopes that we will be able to travel to San Juan in November. We are, however, also exploring web-based platforms that will be able to host a collaborative, online experience for sharing our research and learning from each other in the event that we are not able to travel. The Executive Committee will not be able to make a decision regarding the Convention until we get closer. We will keep you informed of any changes to our planning, including the registration timeline. In the meantime, Convention proposal submission deadline is still May 12 and proposal reviews are due May 31. Please keep these on your to-do list!
UPDATE: The Executive Committee has extended the Convention Proposal and the Graduate Student Summit deadlines to 11:00 pm EST on Friday, June 12th.
Visit the 2020 Convention webpage for additional information.
