- Group Three: From Proposal to Dissertation Defense

- Group Five: Transitioning into the Professorship
- Group Six: Careers in K-12 Education

3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Small Group Work Session I
Students will break into 6 groups with 2 faculty per each group (groups will be pre-assigned based upon topic area). Groups will be the same throughout the seminar. Each student will give a 20-25 minute presentation including handouts of their research to group members. This should be followed by approximately 20-25 minutes of discussion on the presenting student’s research. Faculty will lead the discussion and ask probing questions in an effort to push the students thinking and forward their research in a productive direction.

The groups will re-convene and focus their discussion to student research. Each student will give a 20-25 minute presentation including handouts of their research to group members.
