I. Policy Work

"UCEA is a nonprofit organization that is made up of research institutions in the US and abroad that have excellent programs in educational leadership and policy. UCEA and its member faculty are committed to the improvement of
leadership and policy that supports the learning and development of ALL children. UCEA actively initiates and leads educational reform efforts through its high quality research and preparation programs, and its institutions work collaboratively with schools and educational agencies to positively influence local, state, and national educational policy.

UCEA's Day on the Hill Visits provide an opportunity for member faculty to visit with their government representatives on important educational issues.

UCEA's Policy Briefs on Educational Leadership and Policy are short papers that convey policy problems, highlight implications and outline courses of action to resolve them.

In order to extend this important work in multiple regions, states and countries, UCEA encourages faculty to become engaged in policy work and policy debates, to bring evidence to the attention of stakeholders and policy makers and to support generative discussion and action on these issues."
