Call for 2019-2021 UCEA Graduate Student Council Representatives


Graduate students who are interested in applying for the position should submit the following materials by March 18, 2019 at 11:59pm PT.

  1. Please answer each of the following questions in 150 -250 words:
    1. Describe how you came to pursue a graduate degree in educational leadership, policy or administration?
    2. Outline relevant prior experiences that will benefit you as a member of the GSC.
    3. Describe your experience with graduate student programing at a UCEA convention. What did you enjoy and what do you think could be done better?
    4. What do you believe you can contribute to the GSC?
    5. How do you maintain a work/life balance?

  3. Letter of support from your institution’s PSR (see below)

Applicants will need to request a letter from an institutional representative, such as a department chair or plenary session representative (PSR), which recommends the applicant and ensures financial support for travel to the Convention. All documents should be submitted electronically to under the subject “GSC APP”.

The current GSC members will review applications and make a recommendation to the UCEA Executive Director, who will collaboratively select the new GSC representatives.
