Distance Education in Leadership Preparation
As a mode of instruction, does distance education have what it takes to provide the robust learning experiences necessary to prepare school leaders? Can students and professors build rapport and meaningful relationships in a virtual environment? What do we know about the efficacy of distance education compared to traditional, face-to-face instruction?
Check out the interview we conducted this morning with Dr. Whitney Sherman of VCU in which we addressed all these questions and more. In the interview, Dr. Sherman discusses her 2010 JRLE article Perspectives on Distance Technology in Leadership Education: Transfer, Meaning, and Change co-authored with Karen Crum and Danna Beaty.
You can listen to the entire interview at any time by visiting UCEA's BlogTalkRadio page located here.
