- The
American Educational Research Association (AERA)
is the largest
research membership organization in the United
States. Its members study all aspects and
levels of education, and there are links to
various special fields from the main Web site.
- The
Association for Institutional Research (AIR)
is the U.S.
professional association serving institutional
research specialists in academic institutions
and other researchers and statisticians who
study and conduct applied analyses of topics
such as enrollment, finance, institutional
planning, assessment and evaluation (institutional,
student, and faculty), and inter-institutional
comparisons.
- The
Association for the Study of Higher Education
(ASHE)
is
the U.S. professional association serving
academic researchers interested in the theory
and practice of education at the postsecondary
level using a variety of disciplinary approaches.
- The
National Education Research and Development
Centers
are
specialized education research centers sponsored
by the U.S. Department of Education and located
at research universities. Each of them conducts
a number of studies and investigations, and
related activities, within assigned research
areas.
- The
Office of Educational Research and Improvement
(OERI)
is
the principal office of the U.S. Department
of Education responsible for federal research
and dissemination activities in education.
- University
Council for Educational Administration (UCEA)
is a consortium
of major research universities in the United
States and Canada with the mission of cooperatively
advancing the preparation and practice of
educational leaders dedicated to educational
equity and excellence for all children.
